I was supposed to get ready at 12…its 14:50 and i’m still in but my boxers in the same position holding my guitar.You know in those films where the man and the woman have been making love all night long and the man wakes up has to get ready to go to work,and this beautiful siren like goddess clambers out the bedsheets and pulls him back into the bed and he ends up missing work…that beautiful,enchanting,siren like goddess is my Gibson Aaron Lewis Southern Jumbo,the same thing happens every morning i pick it up and that’s me GONE.The moral of this story is simply…The gripping blissful powerful of music and love.The End.
L.I.F.E (Learning Is For Ever)-Album artwork
Here it is!The artwork revealed for my forthcoming album ‘L.I.F.E’.The concept behind the artwork is simply (in practice not so simply) growth.I felt during the creative process of the album each and every day,each and every moment,i encountered so many different internal opportunities for growth,an opening capacity for learning.I was taking on board different sounds,different concepts and on embarking my musical journey till now i feel like i have been blessed with an abundance of new musical understandings and appreciations and somewhat without being completely conscious of it,represented this in how the music comes across sonically on the album.On a macrocosmic scale however,the concept behind the artwork,its relevance to the album title and running theme is more about my progress and potential-our progress and potential,as people.Whatever experiences we are blessed with ‘good’ or ‘bad’ it is important to remember we come here with the capacity to be something special,great,kings and queens and so it is not for us to define ourselves by the ‘good’ or especially at times ‘bad’ experiences we go through as Life’s only constant is change,learning is for ever.However with the pencil lines present,guidelines in the form of people and experiences to help along this journey,it is for us to fulfill our potential,painting our self portrait with the beautiful array of colors expressed in,through and around us abound this journey of L.I.F.E
